FAQs

REOPENING

WHAT ARE THE OPENING TIMES?

We have temporarily restricted the hours of gym opening to ensure that we keep staff and members safe. This means that we can also increase the level of cleaning and can run a full deep clean while the gym is shut.

Initial Opening Hours – Plymouth

Monday to Friday             0600 to 2100

Saturday & Sunday          0800 to 1600

Initial Opening Hours – Ivybridge

Monday to Friday             0600 to 2200

Saturday & Sunday          0700 to 1900

WILL I NEED TO BOOK MY VISIT?

Please do, but if you prefer to chance it that is also fine, however you might need to wait a little! We will be running a book system for entry to the gym where you will be guaranteed your slot in the club. Booking slots are every 75 minutes. This will also allow us to keep a record for the track and trace system. For the booking system, you will need your membership card number and the email address you used when joining up at the club. If you encounter any problems, please call reception.

WHAT’S THE PROCEDURE FOR ENTERING THE CLUB?

Sanitise hands before coming into the club with hand gel provided. Use your membership card at reception as per normal and follow all the procedures that have been introduced in the club.  These are described on signs around the club. The procedures are for your and the staff’s safety! Please if you can, wear a mask whenever possible.

WHAT ARE MCCAULAY’S DOING TO KEEP ME SAFE?

Signage has been introduced to maintain social distancing and clean & sanitation stations have been positioned throughout the club. We are asking all members to clean their equipment immediately after use. A new rigorous and frequent cleaning schedule has been implemented and all staff will be wearing correct PPE. A brand-new air extraction system has been installed in the lower gym at ivybridge to supply fresh air and the layout has been reconfigured throughout the clubs to maximise social distancing.

ARE THE CHANGING ROOMS AVAILABLE?

Please come to the gym fully changed and ready for activity. Changing rooms are identified by the government as areas of increased risk of transmission – use of changing rooms and showering should be avoided, and we advise that you shower at home.
